Expectations are more often than not the reason we feel disappointment or anger about things, when in reality we have so much power to control and manage these expectations. And in doing so, we have so much more control of our feelings. Realizing and thinking about what expectations we might have of ourselves and of others is just as powerful an exercise as learning how to manage them.
